Factor Unleashed
| Fear Factor Unleashed was a "Proof-of-Concept" project that entailed 3 levels including an eating challenge and 2 skill challenges. We also created a prototype front-end interface using the TV show's graphics as a guide line. Unfortunately there was NO physics engine available for this prototype which would have helped it visually. There would have been nothing more gratifying than to fail your skill challenge on purpose just to watch your character rag-doll down some road and rebound off of a slew of obstacles. But for this prototype it was deemed enough to show what the project could be by using episodes of the show for game design. I created the geometry, texturing and vertex lighting for theWestern Town Level as well as the Highway Level. Phelan Sykes did the character modeling, animation and the specialty objects such as the roadkill supper table and the cows we had in the corral. John Gibson created the City Trampoline level and Chris Choi did the flash-style interface. I was responsible for a good deal of the design work for the prototype levels, including the level layout design and collision / gameplay data setup. Additionally I provided Art Direction and milestone scheduling for all art department staff. Footage Comp.wmv (not final) |
